- Agree with backtobasics. How is it just and humane to have a drawn-out legal battle, trial, appeals, and ultimately a room for life at the Supermax--all at our expense? There is something wrong with a system that jumps through these hoops when there's a confession.

- Stupid to pass a law that can't feasibly be enforced. I personally don't go into a public restroom to check out the competition, I am on business. If you are afraid of public restrooms, plan your outings so you don't have to use one.

- The music was great, especially the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. But--somewhat off the subject--I think inaugurations for second term Presidents are awful. I said it when GW Bush had his second one and I will say it again for Obama.

- I live close to "big coal" country and see the articles and ads about how the EPA is killing jobs. In poor communities, people want jobs instead of safety, and they will vote for candidates who want to ease up on the EPA, not enforce its regulations.
